We are very pleased to invite you on behalf of the Society for Animal Laboratory Science (GV -SOLAS), the Interest Group of Animal Technologists and Research Technicians (GV-IGTP) and the local Organizing the Committee, to the 58 Annual Meeting of the Society for Animal Laboratory Science and the 19 Advanced Training Course of the GV-IGTP, to be held in Würzburg from September 16th to 18th, 2020.
For more than 600 years the City of Würzburg is home of the Julius-Maximilians-Universität, one of the oldest universities in Bavaria. The JMU offers manifold faculties, with a key focus on human medicine research. Numerous research consortia between University and the clinics of the University hospital display the importance of research in life sciences. Würzburg is known not only for its scientific excellence, but also for its buildings in the Baroque and Rococo style. The Würzburg Residence, the magnificent fortress enthroned above the Main and numerous old wine taverns and wine cellars invite you to cultural and culinary excursions.
The continuously increasing number of attendees at the meetings of the GV and IGPT show today’s importance of laboratory animal sciences. The implementation of animal welfare and the improvement of the housing conditions of laboratory animals is an important goal for researchers, animal facility managers and caretakers. Only the continuous development and introduction of new products enable us to keep moving in this direction. The Congress Centrum Würzburg is located in the center of Würzburg and exclusively reserved for our meeting. In the foyer and next to the main auditorium roundabout 1.500 square meters are available for the exhibition. Two more lecture rooms are located on the first floor, as well as multiple smaller rooms, which are set to be used for workshops.
Alongside the academic talks, the industry exhibition is a central element of the meeting. The exhibition is the place to exchange experience before, during and after the talks. Your participation enriches the conference and make it valuable to keep the quality of the meeting for both Exhibitor and participant.
The assigned organizer in 2020 will be the INTERCOM Dresden GmbH, which will take care of your questions and wishes in the familiar professional way. In addition, we, the local committee, will be happy to answer your questions and are open for any input.
